Trans Am and Camaro Heater Core Removal

 For Cars With AC (for non-AC some of these steps are not needed**)

1. Drain coolant.

2. Remove glove box and door.

3. Remove cold air duct on right side.**

4. Remove left and center air ducts (use caution these may be brittle).**

5. Raise the car and support on jack stands. Remove the rocker panel trim on right side also remove screws holding the forward trim brackets.**

6. Remove the three lower bolts at rear of fender.**

7. Remove four fender to skirt bolts at the rear of the wheel opening.**

8. Remove the two fender skirt bolts near the blower motor area.

9. Carefully pry the rear portion of the fender out at the bottom to gain access to the hose clamp on the water valve to core hose (you did drain the coolant right?) and disconnect the hose at the heater core.**

10. Disconnect the water pump hose at the heater core.

11. Remove the two heater case retaining nuts under the hood at the dash.

12. Remove the two heater case retaining bolts inside the car.

13. Remove the console and tape player if equipped.

14. Disconnect the temperature cable at the heater case.

15. remove the heater duct outlet.

16. Remove the lower defroster duct screw at the heater case.**

17. Remove the kick panel , heater core , and case as an assembly.**

18. Disconnect  the vacuum hoses from the case and remove the heater core.

19. Reverse and reassemble.

Search for your Trans Am heater core
